Corporate Training & Development
In a world where AI is reshaping the workforce, human-centred skills are the ultimate differentiator. At The Improv Group, we use improvisation to bridge the skills gap memorably, and with lasting impact.
We don't ask you to take our word for it. According to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report, employers are prioritising emotional intelligence, creativity, and collaboration above almost everything else. A growing body of peer-reviewed research demonstrates the measurable, lasting impact of improv training on workplace performance and psychological wellbeing.
Individuals who regularly train in improvisational theatre develop stronger creative problem-solving skills and long-term benefits, including a higher tolerance of uncertainty.
Incorporating improvisational theatre into leadership development programs enhanced leaders' adaptability, decision-making, and ability to navigate complex situations.
Improv training leads to lasting psychological benefits — an increase in creative self-efficacy and self-esteem over time, compared to a sports control group.
Our practical approach transforms improvisation techniques into actionable skills. By combining corporate strategy expertise with creative excellence, we deliver workshops that turn generic concepts like "creativity" and "team-building" into tangible workplace competencies rooted in emotional intelligence. We don't just tell your team to collaborate better, we give them the lived experience of doing it, and the tools to carry it forward.
Real, lasting impact. And genuinely fun!
Our improv workshops are highly flexible and tailored to your team, whether you’re a small group or a global company of hundreds. Available as one-off workshops or ongoing weekly sessions (our recommended format for lasting impact), our workshops are consistently described as ‘the best team activity we’ve had all year.’ Whether you’re looking for a fun, laughter-filled team bonding experience or a more practical session focused on specific goals, we’ll design it to fit your needs. Participants leave feeling more connected — perfect for any culture or engagement team.
Our leadership and public speaking programmes are designed for individuals or small groups, delivered in person or virtually. Rooted in the principles of affiliative leadership, these sessions use improv to help leaders become more empathetic, agile, and authentic. Participants don’t just learn to listen — they learn to be genuinely altered by the perspectives of others. They leave better equipped to make bold choices, trust their instincts, and lead with clarity, compassion, and courage.
Looking for something unforgettable for your next event? Our live improv entertainment brings energy, spontaneity, and laughter to any occasion — whether it’s a company celebration, away day, conference, or client event. Every performance is tailored to your audience and setting. The result? A fun, fresh, and memorable experience that brings people together and leaves your team buzzing long after the final laugh.
The improv session at our LinkedIn social was amazing! Before then I’d never had any experience with improv, and found it beneficial for preparing for presentations and just boosting confidence. It’s a fun way to learn how to be comfortable in what we’d perceive to be uncomfortable situations — and Charlie had a huge impact on this.
The sessions that The Improv Group offer are priceless in terms of their capacity to enhance trust and positive relationships. The people who participated have continued to talk about it, years later, as it felt like we shared something really special together.
Charlie has been a professional actor and improviser since 2010, with an MA in Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He started as a corporate trainer with Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2016 before moving to London. Clients include LSEG, LinkedIn, Brunswick Group, Allianz, MSD, and Toyota.
Clelia studied Literature before completing a Master’s in Publishing at UCL. After three years delivering trend reports for YouTube and three as a data analyst at LinkedIn, she co-founded The Improv Group out of a belief in the growing importance of soft skills — particularly emotional intelligence, which is often undervalued yet difficult to teach.
From Empathy to Transformation. “Active listening” gets thrown around as a byword for successful communication, but have you heard of “transformative listening”? This is the real value improvisation can teach us about communication and collaboration.
Read on LinkedIn ↗Whilst we frantically added ‘artificial intelligence’ to our CVs, did we miss what actually matters? Soft skills training should be accessible to everyone, and improv’s learning-by-doing methodology delivers exactly that.
